Cedar Hill Cemetery, established in 1864 and designed by landscape architect Jacob Weidenmann, is one of the finest examples of the rural cemetery movement in New England. Its 270 acres of naturalistic landscape feature winding roads, ponds, and impressive monuments in a park-like setting. Cedar Hill is the final resting place of many of Connecticut's most distinguished citizens.
