Elmwood Cemetery

Elmwood Cemetery, established in 1852, is one of the oldest and most historically significant cemeteries in Memphis and the Mid-South. The 80-acre cemetery contains the graves of over 75,000 individuals, including Confederate and Union soldiers, yellow fever victims from the devastating epidemics of the 1870s, and numerous notable Memphians. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
