Granary Burying Ground

Boston, Massachusetts · Established 1660

The Granary Burying Ground, established in 1660, is one of the oldest cemeteries in Boston and a stop on the Freedom Trail. It takes its name from a granary that once stood on the Boston Common nearby. The burial ground contains the graves of many notable figures from early American history and the Revolutionary War era, making it one of the most historically significant cemeteries in the country.
