Grove Street Cemetery
New Haven, Connecticut · Established 1797
Grove Street Cemetery, established in 1797, was the first chartered burial ground in the United States and one of the earliest planned cemeteries in America. The cemetery is the final resting place of many Yale University presidents, faculty, and New Haven's founding families.
