Hollywood Cemetery, established in 1847, is a National Historic Landmark overlooking the James River in Richmond. It served as a burial ground for thousands of Confederate soldiers during the Civil War and contains the graves of two US Presidents. The cemetery's romantic landscape design, with its wooded ravines and hilltops, made it one of the finest examples of the rural cemetery movement in the South.
