Swan Point Cemetery, established in 1846 on the east bank of the Seekonk River in Providence, is one of the finest examples of the Victorian rural cemetery movement in New England. Its 200 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds include a lily pond, mature trees, and an outstanding collection of monuments and sculptures. The cemetery is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
